Plan Details and Questions

What stays the same?

Your local utility continues to deliver your power. You just get a better supply rate.

Can I cancel?

Yes. You may cancel anytime with 30 days’ notice.

Do rates change?

No. Your rate will stay the same low fixed rate for 12 months.

How do I get my gift card?

We’ll deliver your $100 gift card digitally after successful enrollment and supply activation.

Will Think Energy turn off my AC or heat?

No, we’ll only ever adjust your setpoint by a few degrees. In some cases, we’ll even pre-cool or pre-heat your home to ensure your comfort

How long do events last?

Most events typically last between 5-30 minutes, though some may extend for a few hours. For longer events, we may cycle between your normal and adjusted setpoints in order to keep you comfortable.

How do I override an event?

Simply adjust your thermostat, and you’ll opt out of the event for the rest of the day.

Are there penalties?

You won’t be subject to any penalties, but won’t be eligible for a month’s credit if you opt out of more than two events in that particular month. See the Think Smart Thermostat addendum for additional information.

*Terms, Conditions and Disclaimers: Enrolling in the Think Energy Program includes eligibility to receive up to two smart thermostats at no initial cost, with free professional installation. A monthly charge of $10 per thermostat will be added to your electricity bill until the total cost is paid in full. After the payment period ends, no additional charges will apply for the thermostat(s). The $10 monthly thermostat charge is offset by a $10 monthly bill credit for customers who enroll in the Think Energy Program. Customers may cancel the plan at any time with 30 days’ written notice. If cancellation occurs before all monthly thermostat payments are completed, the remaining balance will be charged to the customer’s electricity bill (either in a lump sum or installments, at the supplier’s discretion). Thermostats will remain in the customer’s home and will not be retrieved or uninstalled by the supplier. Customers must provide reasonable access to their home for installation, maintain a Wi-Fi connection at the installation site, and ensure their HVAC system is compatible and in working condition. The brand and model of the thermostat(s) will be selected by the supplier based on compatibility and availability at the time of installation. Additional terms and conditions may apply.
