AutoSave

Why should you have to monitor energy rates to get a better deal? With AutoSave, you don’t.

Why AutoSave?
Everyone uses energy differently, yet most people pay the same price. AutoSave changes that. Your rate is personalized, just for you.

No Fees.

Free to join. Free to leave, anytime.

No Stress.

You’ll never pay more than the utility.

No Change.

Same utility, same bill, same service.

All Upside.

Save whenever you can, with the utility's standard rate as your safety net.

Illinois Customers served by ComEd are subject to ComEd's rules for bundled service. If Think Home Solutions returns your utility account to ComEd's electric supply service, your account may not return to Think Energy's service for 6 billing periods.
How it Works

AutoSave reviews your personalized Think Energy offer every month.

If your personalized offer can beat the utility’s price to compare, we switch you. If not, you’re served by the utility.

We look for savings every month so you don’t have to.

AutoSave FAQs

What is AutoSave?

AutoSave uses your energy habits to deliver personalized savings — automatically.
It’s called usage-based energy pricing: We constantly analyze your usage. When your personalized rate is lower than utility, we supply your energy — saving you money. When we can’t, the utility will supply your energy.

What is usage-based pricing?

Usage-based pricing means your energy rate is personalized based on how and when you use power. AutoSave reviews your energy habits and works to get you a lower rate.

How much can I save?

Actual savings vary based on your usage patterns and market conditions.

What happens if you can’t save me money?

You stay on the utility’s standard rate — and you’ll never pay more than you would with the utility. No risk.

What happens if I pay more than the utility?

In rare cases — like delayed switches or retroactive utility rate updates — you may temporarily pay more. If that happens, Think Home Solutions refunds the difference.

Do I still pay my utility?

Yes. You’ll still get the same bill from your utility and pay it just like always. The only thing that changes is who supplies your energy — either Think Energy or the utility, depending on which price is lower.

Who do I contact if there’s a power outage?

Your local utility still delivers your electricity and handles outages. Contact them directly — just like always.

Do I need to sign up again later?

No. Sign up once — we take care of the rest.

Are there fees?

No. It’s free to join and free to leave.

Will I know what rate I’m getting?

AutoSave rates vary month to month and are not disclosed in advance. However, you’re always protected: you’ll never pay more than your utility’s rate.

How do I know who’s supplying my energy right now?

Check your utility bill — it will show the name of your current energy supplier. If Think Energy is listed, they are supplying your energy. If not, your utility is providing it this month.

Will I be notified when my supply changes between Think Energy and the utility?

Yes. You’ll get an email any time your energy supply changes — whether to Think Energy or back to the utility. This can happen monthly, seasonally, annually, or longer — depending on what offers you the lower rate. No action needed — it’s just a heads-up.

What if I move?

You’ll need to re-enroll at your new address.

Can I leave AutoSave but stay with Think Energy?

Yes. You can choose a fixed-rate plan instead and automatically cancel AutoSave.

Can commercial customer enroll in AutoSave?

Yes — commercial accounts using up to 100,000 kWh per year are eligible to enroll in AutoSave.

How do I cancel AutoSave?

Just contact Think Energy customer care at 1-888-923-3633.
