Understanding Your Electric Bill

Your monthly bill will come from your local power distribution company, and is split into two parts:

1. Delivery: Includes the costs to maintain the local Maryland energy grid and distribute electricity from the point of generation to your residence. This service is provided by the local electric distribution company for your service area, and you will see specific charges from the following company.
2. Supply: This section covers the rate to generate and transmit the electricity used and is charged to you by the supplier (like Think Energy) or local distribution supplier if you are on default services.
