MIPPA is comprised of Independent Energy Generators throughout MI utlizing a diverse set of technologies and fuels. Formed in 1997, MIPPA aims to promote and support the common interests of independent power producers with facilities under development and operating in Michigan; to protect the continuing viability of the facilities that its members own and operate; to enhance the role of independent power producers in a deregulated generation market; to maintain the viability of renewable energy and to educate its members regarding the electric industry in Michigan and the United States.
